Located in the garden of Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal, The Arch is a monument that honors the memory of Salvador Allende, former Chili president, who became one of the most influential politicians in South America even though his reign was short lived (1970-1973) and his career tragically ended by a coup d'état orchestrated by general Augusto Pinochet. The tree is curved in order to form a commemorative arch seeking the ground for its origin.
