The Falcon | 2007 2/4

Soap, 30 x 20 x 20 cm, single piece

An image of a work—a falcon seemingly sculpted by an Inuit artist—erroneously attributed to Michel de Broin appeared on the website of the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec. Appropriating this mistake, the artist then carved the falcon from memory in ordinary soap. Since then, the sculpture has been part of the exhibition in which it potentially takes on new meaning.
