Video document of the action perform on the road, 1999
I placed a video camera on the left side of a car in order to film
the painted line at the center of the road. The image of the line is
then retransmitted to a screen installed on the windshield in such
a way as to allow the driver or passengers to accompany this mediated
monitoring of the line’s displacements. This implies an abstracted
view of the landscape. This document was presented in a gallery space
on 6 monitors forming a semicircle around a column.
